Out of the many young midfielders linked with Liverpool, American international Yunus Musah has now joined the list. The 20-year-old had an excellent World Cup which further enhanced his stock in the market.

Musah plays his club football for La Liga side Valencia, having joined their youth side from the Arsenal academy in 2019. He started playing senior football in the 2020/21 season. Although he’s made 60 league appearances in the last two years, most of them came as a substitute (2766 minutes in 60 appearances, 46 minutes per appearance).

Below, we will take an in-depth look at his playing style, the numbers of this season, comparison with other young midfield targets and more.

If we talk about this season, Valencia manager Gennaro Gattuso has preferred the 4-3-3 system, with Musah operating on the right of a three-man midfield.
