Khéphren Thuram Scouting Report: A Tall, Attack-Minded Midfield Flyer
Following reports that Liverpool are interested in Khéphren Thuram - son of the French football great Lillian, we are back with another scouting report looking at the profile of the player and how well he is doing for his current side OGC Nice in the French Ligue 1.
Thuram was part of the Monaco youth development programme in 2016 before making his senior debut there during the 2018/19 season. The French international then moved to Nice in 2019, but only became a regular member of the side since the 2020/21 campaign. He made his senior debut for the national team last month by coming off the bench against the Netherlands in the European qualifiers.
The 22-year-old has made 135 appearances for his current club, scoring eight goals and assisting 11. He has been used in several positions in that time - be it as a left-sided number eight in a three-man midfield, in a midfield double-pivot, or as an attacking midfielder in a 4-2-3-1 or a 3-4-1-2 system.
Without further ado, let us take an in-depth look at the player, his attributes and what he can potentially bring to Liverpool, provided the Reds make a move for him this summer.
Introduction and Player Profile - Khéphren Thuram
As mentioned in the title of this article, Khéphren Thuram is an attack-minded central midfielder who is comfortable driving forward with the ball and is aggressive off it.
